One student is confirmed dead after a Tuesday morning school shooting at Ingraham High School in North Seattle and one person is in custody In connection to the deadly shooting. According to Seattle PD, Chief Adrian Diaz said officers received reports of a shooting at the high school at the 1800 block if North 135th Street at 9:55am one person was in custody after 11:00am. At a 2:00pm press conference with Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell confirmed that the student who was shot passed away. No other details about the student were provided.
Seattle public schools canceled classes at Ingraham High School for Tuesday and Wednesday.
At 2:33 Seattle Public Schools tweeted “This morning, we had an incident of gun violence at one of our schools. Tragically, an Ingraham student was shot and killed on campus. Our collective hearts are broken.”
