— Grant County International Airport
For the first time ever Moses Lake will have their first ever airshow this June at the Grant County International Airport in Moses Lake North. The Grant County International Airport boasts one of the largest airfields in the United States and is capable of accepting the largest aircraft in the world. The airport enjoys 350 days of excellent weather and is regularly utilized by military and commercial test flights such as Boeing and is a facility favored by military and commercial flight test programs.
The airshow is proud to welcome the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team a skilled skydiving team by the United States Army. The airshow is also proud to welcome the Mustang High Flight Aerobatics, and Vickey Benzing from California that will be on a mono-World War II plane performing breathtaking aerial displays right above the airstrip.
The event is for all ages and will feature along with aerial demonstrations a chance to see, touch, and explore inside aircrafts ranging from a C-17, to a Boeing 727 to a Cessna aircraft.
This airshow is a must see for all young enthused girls and boys who someday want to fly their own aircrafts and touch the sky.
With more than 3,500 people expected to attend this is one of the most anticipated aviation events in the Pacific Northwest. The event will last for two days, Friday and Saturday from 10:00am - 5:00pmwith a VIP party Saturday night at 6:00pm.
If you are driving yourself to the event all traffic will be directed to a designated parking area by the terminal. Once parked visitors will then be directed towards the gate where tickets will be scanned and or purchased. The Port of Moses Lake would like to remind everyone to please bring a reusable water bottle and to be responsible with all trash you may bring in or have in the airshow. Trash that is not properly through away will become a foreign object and could be blown onto the tarmac and damage the aircrafts engine components and or under wings.
The airshow will also have local venders from across the Moses Lake area who will be selling food, drinks, and merchandise. Inside the main terminal Jet-a-Way Café will be open Friday and the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center will be having an open exhibit to the public.
