The Moses Lake Airshow has been postponed till 2021. In a statement of the event’s Facebook page they said
“Due to an extension in the DOD order restricting travel, the men and women of the Armed Forces who are an intrinsic part of our airshow (and our history!) could not attend this year. We realize that it would not be right to try to put on the show without them.”
They continued,
We understood that COVID-19 related complications might require us to stand down but in the meantime, we knew the best way forward was to work to make the next show better than the last.
Below is their Facebook post.
Friends of the Moses Lake Airshow,
As you know, we have been cautiously, optimistically, carefully continuing to plan for the 2020 Airshow. We understood that COVID-19 related complications might require us to stand down but in the meantime, we knew the best way forward was to work to make the next show better than the last. That way, whether it happened earlier or later you would have a fantastic time.
Sadly, we now know for sure the answer is later. Due to an extension in the DOD order restricting travel, the men and women of the Armed Forces who are an intrinsic part of our airshow (and our history!) could not attend this year. We realize that it would not be right to try to put on the show without them.
As we shift to planning now for MLAS 2021, we ask that you stay with us. We will be producing a web series, that will be a unique flavor for aviation enthusiasts and the Moses Lake community. Thank you so much for continued support, stay strong!
