Grant County sheriff’s deputies are seeking information about a shooting that happened Thursday night just before 11 p.m. The victim's vehicle was traveling south on SR-17 when a vehicle merged from the I-90 off ramp and came up alongside the victim's vehicle.
A male passenger of the merging vehicle made a gun-pointing hand gesture at the victims. The suspect vehicle with headlights off then followed the victim's vehicle south on SR-17 to about Road 3-Southeast when a bullet was fired by occupants of the suspect vehicle, shattering the rear window of the victim's car. The suspect vehicle continued south on SR-17. Evidence collected confirms a bullet was fired. A female passenger in the victim's vehicle was struck by glass fragments. Her injuries are non-life-threatening.
The victims say they do not know the occupants of the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was described as a black 4-door sedan. A male passenger was described as heavy-set and Hispanic. There is no other description information available.
