Four youth were injured in crash Monday morning near the town of Royal City. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office the 17-year-old male driver dropped his cell phone and then swerved off the road. The vehicle then hit a pole and rolled over. The teenagers were driving eastbound Road 11 Southwest, around 4:00 a.m. Sheriff deputies said that the driver reached down to grab his phone, he swerved off the road causing his vehicle to strike a utility pole and then rolling his car.
GCSO said a 16-year-old female was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries. The 17-year-old male driver and his two other passengers, 16-years-old and 17-years-old, were transported to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake for their non-life-threatening injuries. No other information was immediately released. Motor Traffic Deputies investigating.
