Firefighters battling brush fire at the Columbia Natl. Wildlife Refuge south of M.L.

Firefighters are battling a large wildfire in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge near Othello.

Adams County Fire District 5, Grant County Fire Districts 10 and 11, as well as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have responded to the scene.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, helicopters are in route to the scene to assist.

It is unclear how the fire started.
