— Washtucna WA
Washington State Patrol was called to a head on crash Wednesday morning to Westbound SR-26 involving a semi and a car. Portions of SR 26 and other roads in the area were temporarily closed due to drifting snow and poor visibility.
29 year old Kaylyn Bossert of Soap Lake and 29 year old Andrew McCarty of Vancouver were involved in the crash. WSP trooper stated Kaylyn was going westbound on SR 26 when she lost traction on the icy road, crossed the centerline and hit the oncoming semi head-on.
Kaylyn was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash but died en-route to the hospital. Andrew McCarty, the driver of the semi, was unhurt. Troopers said Kaylyn was going too fast for conditions.
