A woman in relation to the jet ski accident has died after injuries sustained at Blue Heron Park yesterday. The accident occurred at approximately 5:00pm pst and the victim has been identified as Adra-Ann Rice a 27 year old mom from Des Moines WA. Her eight-year-old daughter, riding with her at the time of the collision, was not seriously hurt. The operator of the other jet ski was a 17-year old male related to the Andra-Ann Rice, also from Des Moines. He was not seriously hurt. According to witnesses, Adra-Ann Rice was riding a jet-ski with her daughter when it was struck by the other jet ski. At the time of the collision, bystanders at the park immediately entered the water and rendered first aid to the three victims until emergency services arrived on scene. All three were transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake where Rice later died. The collision remains under investigation with the Grant County Sherifs Office. Sheriff Tom Jones Sent out a statement saying,
“Our hearts hurt for this family. On behalf of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, we extend our deepest sympathies to them during this excruciatingly difficult time. I hope that our community will also share the same sentiment by offering comfort as they try to deal with their sudden and tragic loss.”
