32 lbs of meth and 25,000 fentanyl pills, and $50,000 seized in Mattawa home.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office said INET (Internal Narcotics Enforcement Team) discovered a total of 32 lbs of meth and 25,000 fentanyl pills, and $50,000 seized in a home during a warrant issued house check in the small town of Mattawa 40 miles south west of Moses Lake.


Investigators said in a press release that the suspect lived within 1,000 feat of Wahluke High School. 42-year-old Mattawa resident Rigoberto Tapia was apprehended and taken to Ephrata where he was processed into the county jail and faces charges of controlled substances and attempt to sell and deliver and faces school zone penalties for being in close proximity to an education center.

The sheriffs office said the investigation is still ongoing.
