A 27-year-old male has died from a gunshot wound early Sunday morning in Moses Lake North. At approx. 8:15am Grant County Sheriff’s Office and MLPD responded to a shots fired call in the area of Pershing Drive, in the Larson Housing Area.
According to a press release from GCSO, when officers arrived at the scene they discovered a 27 year old male who appeared to have been shot behind 1106 Arlington Dr. The victim was transported to Samaritan Healthcare where he was pronounced dead.
According to the Sheriffs Office while responding to the shots fired call another call came in to the same area at 1106 Arlington for a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived at Arlington Dr., they located a 27-year-old male on the back porch of 1106 Arlington, who appeared to have been shot. EMS arrived a short time later and transported the male to Samaritan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Eye-witnesses stated there was an argument at the rear of 1106 Arlington between the deceased 27-year-old male and David R. Hagar (48 yo male). According to witnesses, during the argument, Hagar fired a gun multiple times and
the male subject went down near the back porch. Hagar then fled to his residence at 1102 Arlington. Deputies were able to communicate with Hagar, he willingly came out of his residence, and was taken into custody without incident.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Grant County Sheriff's Office Major
Crimes Unit. The 27-year-old male is in the custody of the Grant County Coroner who will release the name.
